Divisions

American Chamber/Mexico has divisions in Guadalajara and Monterrey, which after Mexico City are the two most important economic centers of the country.

Guadalajara, capital of the state of Jalisco, has a population of over four million inhabitants.  Is the second most populated city in Mexico.  Guadalajara is very well known for its quality facilities for trade shows, exhibitions, fairs and conventions, such as Expo Guadalajara.  The state of Jalisco is an attractive place for investment because of its excellent geographic location.

Monterrey, capital of the state of Nuevo León, is the headquarters for some of the most important industrial and financial groups in Mexico.  These include FEMSA, Cemex, Grupo Alfa and Banorte.  The city is located about 130 miles from the Texas border.  It has access to efficient international bridges, good highways that connect to the center, east and west of Mexico, and two international airports.
