Legal Affairs
This committee meets in Mexico City. It was created with the primary intention of serving as a tool with which its active members can carry out analysis, development and diffusion of all matters of a legal character. These topics affect the interests of the majority or a significant amount of Chamber members. The main concerns are related to business climate and trade and economic relations between Mexico and the United States.
Principal objectives
• To analyze normative legislation related to industry and trade, including foreign investment, and to propose modifications which are concentrated on the common interests of AmCham members.
• To carryout monitoring and analysis of legislative issues in Congress (law initiatives, proposals, modifications, regulations, etc.) that are of interest or have an impact on Chamber members.
• To create a space for the legal community to hold meetings, presentations, discussions and debates in order to facilitate an exchange of professional and business experiences and to establish a flow of information.
